Feng Shui Training Courses Take You to Tian An Men Square

October 22, 2017

Designed and built in 1651, Tian An Men Square is among the top 10 largest city squares in the world. Totaling 109 acres, this location holds great cultural significance and has been the location of several landmark events in Chinese history. No visit to China would be complete without wandering the vast square. That’s why, when you take Feng Shui training courses through our immersion program, this is the first place you will explore.

The Square

The heart of Beijing, Tian An Men Square is named after the entry gate (Gate of Heavenly Peace) located in its North section, which is the main entrance into the Forbidden City. Its ever-changing massive displays include intricate floral designs. The architecture of the vast empty square, juxtaposed with the high walled gates and bright ceramic roofed tiles of the Forbidden City, remind the viewer of the simple Chinese design of yin and yang.

Since its original design, the Square has been enlarged a total of four times. These alterations took place during the 1950s. The energetic ley lines that move through the center of the square are directly in line with the ancient Throne in the Forbidden City. With the help of dowsing rods, you can personally experience the power of the still-existent ley lines.

Within the Square are some of the most politically important buildings in China. The Monuments to the Heroes of the Revolution, The Great Hall of the People, The National Museum of China and the Chairman Mao Zedong Memorial Hall make up the more modern of the buildings. There are several smaller and more significant ancient structures on the site, as well.

Rich with history, the vast Square serves as the historical prerequisite for entry into the Forbidden City. Steeped in culture, Tian An Men Square is an appropriate destination for those who choose Feng Shui training courses.
